    Eighty-four Ohio 4-H members learned about government processes in the vibrant, living classroom of the nation’s capital as part of Citizenship Washington Focus (CWF), an intensive 4-H civic engagement program for high-school youth held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center in Chevy Chase, MD.

  3. 4-H Science Saturday-Does my plant have a flu?

    Does my plant have the flu?

    Do you have a sick pachysandra? Is your allium ailing? Come find out at this month's 4-H Science Saturday on May 4 at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. You'll get some hands-on experience exploring the science of plant viruses, isolate plant DNA and more with experts from OSU's Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center and the plant virology lab. This program is open to both 4-H members and non-members.

     

  4. Ohio 4-H'ers Experience Presidential Inauguration

    4-H members from across Ohio joined together on January 19, 2013 to travel to Washington D.C. to experience an exciting time in our nation’s history. During this four-day trip, 4-Hers had the opportunity to tour national monuments and museums; participate in educational programs focused on government and history; and attend the 57th Presidential Inauguration on January 21, 2013. Participants on the trip stayed at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland.

  8. 2012 National 4-H Congress

    Twenty seven 4-H members from Ohio participated in the 2012 National 4-H Congress held in Atlanta from November 23-27. This year’s theme was Become a Catalyst of Change and Ohio delegates attended workshops, participated in community service projects and exchanged ideas with more than 1,000 youth from all over the country. State Achievement Award winners are selected each year to serve as the Congress delegates from Ohio, based upon their documented 4-H and community achievements.

  9. Ohio 4-H Dairy Judging Team Places at the North American International Dairy Judging Contest

    It is with great pleasure and pride that I can present the results of the Ohio 4-H Dairy Judging team at the recent North American International Dairy Judging Contests.  With 22 youth teams present, our 4-H team claimed many honors when the trophies and ribbons were presented at the recognition breakfast on Monday, November 5th.  This contest usually represents a new beginning and a new team for the judging season.
