The impact of 4-H on a person’s life extends far beyond their youth. The experiences, opportunities, and programs they have in 4-H build lifelong skills and start a pathway to success.
One such program is the 4-H Spark EXPO, a partnership between Ohio 4-H youth development and The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). Through Spark, youth take part in “action learning,” gaining hands-on experiences in their specific areas of interest alongside fellow 4-H’ers from across the state.
Over the course of four days, participants get a glimpse of a premiere college and career readiness program, Ohio 4-H Pathways to the Future, while exploring career pathways offered through CFAES.
The importance of this type of intentional programming is clear. Thanks to Spark EXPO, 67% of participants strongly agree they can connect their 4-H experience to their career aspirations.
And, thanks to the generous financial support from the Ohio 4-H Foundation and individual donors, the program will continue to grow and benefit even more youth across Ohio.
Join them in making this possible with a gift to the Ohio 4-H Workforce Development and Pathways fund.
