4-H Horse Judging Contest

Registration for this event must be made online by June 28th, 2024, including payment. Cost of the event is $40 per team. No late entries will be accepted for any reason. As this contest determines which contestants will represent Ohio at national contests, ONLY senior 4-H members are allowed to compete in the senior division to comply with national eligibility requirements. 

Event Details:

For youth currently enrolled in a 4-H or FFA horse project & completed the current year's EquiSTEP by the registration deadline. The judging contest will be on Monday, July 15th at the Ohio State Fairgrounds. Competitors will be able to judge classes and give oral reasons. Juniors are required to give two sets of reasons and seniors will be required to give 3-4 sets which will be included in both total scores. All participants should come prepared with a clipboard, pencils and blank paper and/or blank scoresheets.
