A summer camp like no other, Camp Canopy is the perfect mix of traditional camp activities – like hanging out around the campfire, breaking a leg in the talent show and dancing the night away with your fellow campers-turned-BFFs – AND educational activity sessions centered around all things forestry and wildlife, to keep your brains as sharp as a pine needle during the summer months.

The Ohio 4-H State Leadership Camp is the premiere leadership development opportunity available to Ohio 4-H members. The focus of the five-day leadership experience is the development of concrete peer leadership skills that will enable participants to have an immediate impact in their home 4-H club, county, community, or school. The camp is active and engaged—there’s very little sitting and listening, and much opportunity for group interaction. Participants leave the camp ready to take on new challenges—after they take an afternoon nap.

  6. May 29, 2020 through May 31, 2020, 12:00am - 11:45pm

“4-H is for everyone,” but sometimes accessibility issues deny youth with disabilities the opportunity to attend camp. In Ohio, a statewide 4-H camp is held at Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp in Jackson, Ohio for young people with disabilities and their caregivers.  Being a typical kid is what Camp is all about and it is no different for special needs youth. Our goal is to give Campers a true experience of Camp while meeting their needs and letting them set their own pace for fun and success!
