Sew Ohio

Sew Ohio is a hands-on sewing workshop to help Ohio 4-H members improve their clothing and textile skills. The workshop will be taught by the Master Clothing Educator volunteers.

Schedule of Events:

• 9:00 am Doors Open
• 9:30-10 a.m. Registration
• 10-10:50 a.m. Class Session #1
• 11-11:50 a.m. Class Session #2
• 12-1:30 p.m. Lunch and Fashion Show by State Fashion Board
• 1:30-2:20 p.m. Class Session #3
• 2:30-3 p.m. Everyone together- prize drawings for youth
• 3-3:30 p.m. Fabric Fair: 4-H members can pick free fabric and supplies for their current or future 4-H projects

Additional Information:

• Select sessions day of the event. Topics to be covered at the event include sewing machine care, using a serger, darts, seam finishes, dress up dress, zippers, reading and understanding a pattern, lay-out, altering and spotting a good fit, seam finishes, what to expect at State Fair, and a session from 4-H State Fashion Board members
• Registration deadline: Feb. 27, 2026 or when registration reaches capacity
  • 1 adult registration per registered youth
  • Complete 1 registration per person
  • Boxed lunch will be provided with a few choices-you are welcome to bring your own lunch
