Exceptional community citizenship is one of the values that makes 4-H, FFA and Farm Bureau such successful organizations. These groups are partnering to bring the Ohio Youth Capital Challenge (OYCC) to you. Here is your chance to get involved and have a hands-on experience that will enable you to make your community a better place.
Up to 40 Delegates will be chosen to participate in the OYCC. Delegates will travel to Columbus on March 2-3, 2020 for advocacy training where they will meet with legislators in the State Capitol. Delegates will work in assigned teams during the following months developing a policy and preparing a presentation for public hearing. On May 16, 2020, teams will meet in Columbus to present their proposed policy. Finalist teams will be invited to compete at the Ohio State Fair for scholarship dollars on July 31, 2020.
Who Can be Nominated or Apply?
Delegates must be in at least the ninth grade and between the ages of 14 and 18 during the 2019-2020 school year, and have never participated in OYCC.
