In mid-November, four Ohio 4-H members traveled to NAILE to represent the Ohio 4-H Livestock Judging Program. Members of this year's team include (L to R): Colton Boyer (Richland Co.), Logan Heitzman (Warren Co.), Caroline Bensman (Warren Co.), Ashleigh Osborn (Clinton Co.), and Coach Greg Meyer.
4-H'ers interested in the Ohio 4-H Livestock Judging Team are encouraged to participate at the Ohio State Fair 4-H Livestock Judging Contest (held during the 1st week of the #OhioStateFair) to be eligible to try out for the team.

Each year, our top 3 county 4-H judging programs at the Ohio State Fair 4-H Livestock Judging Contest earn the opportunity to represent Ohio 4-H at a national judging contest of their choosing. This year, Warren County represented Ohio at the Keystone International Livestock Judging Contest and the Keystone International Stockman's Contest. Team members were Caroline Bensman, Alyssa Carter, Logan Heitzman, Thomas Hicks, and Will Knapke, coached by Greg Meyer.
At the livestock judging contest, the team placed 4th overall (2nd in Swine, 3rd in Sheep, 4th in Beef, 4 in Reasons) with Logan placing 3rd overall and Caroline placing 10th overall. The next day, at the stockman contest, the team placed 8th overall (1st in judging, 10th in management, 10th in meats, 10th in identification). Congratulations to these 4-H'ers on their outstanding achievements!
