The Ohio 4-H Teen Leadership Council (TLC) celebrated the end of their year in August. Members represented Ohio 4-H at four regional, national and international events including the Southern Regional Conference, National Service Learning Conference, National 4-H Conference and the Global 4-H Network Summit.
Over this past year TLC raised $1,100 through the Texas Roadhouse gift card fundraiser and $1,200 with the Ohio 4-H Conference t-shirt sale. Funds were used for travel and service projects.
Those projects included and overnight where members contributed to five organizations by making 25 no-sew blankets, sensory eggs for children with autism, dog beds for Pilot Dogs, blessing bags bracelets for the Ohio 4-H LGBTQ+ Summit.
Members were present each day of Ohio State Fair assisting with project judging and at a first-ever booth promoting 4-H opportunities. TLC members also worked at OSU’s Farm Science Review, the CFAES Legislative Luncheon, Ohio Military Kid’s Winter Wonderland and more.
Outgoing officers are Natalyn Landis, Natalee Blackford, Leah Brown, Emma Newell and Clara Selle, and outgoing junior advisors Molly Michael and Rachel Salyers.
