69 outstanding 4-H youth were honored on June 5th at the 2013 Achievement Awards and Scholarship banquet held at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center at The Ohio State University. Awards, scholarships and trip awards valued over $92,000 were awarded to 4-H youth.
Leah Uhrig and Weston Pitstick were selected to participate on the State Junior Fair Board. The State Junior Fair Board is comprised of representatives from several different youth organizations in Ohio. State Junior Fair Board members are expected to help strengthen and coordinate junior fair activities during the Ohio State Fair.

Emily Burns and Katherine Wolfe are winners of the Ohio Township Association Local Government Award and were selected based on the demonstrated impact a local government activity has on a community, township or county.

Macy Conrad and Molly Michael have been chosen to attend the National 4-H Dairy Conference in Madison, Wisconsin this fall sponsored by The Dairy Farmers of America Mideast Council and COBA/Select Sires, Inc.

Jesse Crook and Shi’Anna Whitman have been chosen to attend Ohio Dairy Goat Conference in Columbus, Ohio sponsored by the Ohio Dairy Goat Association. Both winners were selected based on their record of achievement in the area of dairy.
This November, more than 1,200 4-H youth from across the country will arrive in Atlanta, Georgia for the National 4-H Congress. Since 1922, National 4-H Congress has been the event in which the most outstanding 4-H members from each state are recognized and involved in once-in-a-lifetime leadership, citizenship and community service experiences. To earn this honor, these youth competed against over 360 4-H members, between the ages of 14 and 18, who completed an extensive application listing their accomplishments in: 4-H project work, 4-H participation, major 4-H honors, 4-H community service and citizenship, 4-H leadership and non 4-H experiences in their school, church and community.
