International Programs

Due to COVID concerns related to international travel, Ohio 4-H will not be participating in the States' 4-H International Program through at least 2023.  Thanks to all who hosted Labo youth and made the international exchanges possible.

Interested in exploring the world through 4-H activities? 

  • JOIN THE VIRTUAL 2021 GLOBAL 4-H DIGITAL SUMMIT! To stay connected globally, Korea 4-H, Taiwan 4-H and Canada 4-H are co-hosting the 2021 Global 4-H Digital Summit to be held on September 7-9. Anyone involved in 4-H is welcome to attend this free virtual event. For more information, please visit:  

  • 4-H Around the Globe (92) Are you curious about other countries? This intermediate-level prject takes a look at 4-H through an international lens, with close-ups of Ghana, Kosovo, Nicaraugua, and South Korea. Each country's 4-H program is different, but the dedication to 4-H makes us all the same.
  • Global Gourmet (469) This project helps you create rich and delicious meals from Mexico, Africa, Japan, India, Italy, Greece, and Germany as you explore food history, customs, and nutrition to better understand our world.
  • Ohio Youth Institute Dr. Norman Borlaug created this youth program of the World Food Prize, where high school students research and write a paper with your solutions to combating global food issues. Participants come to OSU in the spring to meet with faculty experts from the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and other youth from throughout the state to share ideas, listen to speakers, and participate in hands-on activities. Selected students are eligible to attend the Global Youth Institute in Des Moines, Iowa and all eligible to apply for international internships.
