Ohio Military Kids Events
Any military family is eligible regardless of rank.
Veteran's children and families are eligible 12 months past date of separation.
Any branch and component is welcome.
Gold Star Families are eligible.
These events are meant to serve the youth of military-connected families and are meant for recreational, social, and educational programming not meant for behavioral correction or rehabilitation.

Ohio Military Kids Events for 2025
May and June
Teen Leadership Camp
Once a year, Ohio Military Kids offers a small group camping experience where teens can participate in activities which promote leadership and teamwork. This weeklong residential camp is open to military connected youth aged 13-17. Activities may include hiking, ziplining, climbing, cookouts, high ropes, and teambuilding exercises.
Date: May 31 - June 4
Location: Central Ohio
Cost: $150 for Ohio Army National Guard, $250 to any other branch and component

July and August
Teens and youth will have a 5 day and 4 night adventure on Kelleys Island. They will be taught to be resilient while making lifelong friends. Activities may include sailing, swimming, rafting, kayaking, volleyball, soccer, archery, line dances, crafts, campfire, and more!
This event is open to youth of current military service members or retired/separated service members within one year of their separation from service.
Teen Camp
Who: Military connected teens
Age: 12-15 years old, age as of the first day of camp
When: Sunday 27 - Thursday 31 (July 2025)
Where: Kelleys Island 4-H Camp, Ohio

Age: 9-11 years old, age as of the first day of camp

Winter Wonderland
A free event for all Ohio Military, Veterans, and Gold Star Families! Join in the family fun for all ages! Activities include photos with Santa, cookie decorating, hot chocolate, arts and crafts, and more!
